This is our fourth installment of A Small Garlic Press's on-line magazine -- as expressed in print. Our continued philosophy is to produce a simple, linear and modest compendium of the buoyantly colorful, non-linear, fitted with art and ring-structures "rooms" engineered in the hypertext. Our zinger this issue is the complete and lovingly unabridged reproduction of Christina Rossetti's 1845 pre-Raphaelite classic long poem, Goblin Market, as it appears at our author Connie Walle's instigation in the on-line Agnieszka's Dowry. After a bit of tugging and refraction, we decided we can afford this little splurge, and the intimacy of enclosing this lavish work in our little book.
This book continues to be what the on-line AgD distills to when one sequences its written matter. Nothing remains obscured or embellished by juxtaposition with graphics. New resonances in text emerge from neighbor-to-neighbor relations where none existed before. The poems and the letters and the stories all stand in severe relief as writing, unadorned.
