Delinquency
.................................

In the alley behind and between rowhouses
We dreamed of catching touchdown passes
Over our shoulders within the boundaries
Of garages and broken glass
Where we tuned our bikes and fixed our tires
For a ride across town to see grass fields
Loading all the bases against us

White Girls on Green Grass
.................................

Here she comes. The sun is lit on her hair and shoulders. Her legs and arms catch the subtle rays of her hips walking and her walk walks past without one word. As she walks away, you stop to watch her walking away, shrinking proportionally in the distance-- how far you are from your self. How far have you come? Speechless, licking your lips on the leash of America-- breaking every silence.
